Cleanings & Exams
Learn more
○ Routine dental checkups are vital to good oral hygiene and are the best way to detect problems at their earliest stages. Early detection and treatment saves unnecessary discomfort and time. We recommend our patients return for professional cleanings and checkups at least twice a year.
○ When recommended, our office uses digital x-rays to detect problems that cannot be found during a visual exam. Digital x-rays provide an instant result and emit 90% less radiation. During your exam, we will: check for any problems that you may not see or feel, look for cavities or any other signs of tooth decay or breakdown, inspect your teeth and gums for gingivitis and signs of periodontal disease, and perform a thorough teeth cleaning.
○ Each detailed teeth cleaning we will clean, polish, and rinse your teeth to remove any tartar and plaque that have built up on the tooth’s surface. For patients with advanced gum disease, deep gum therapy may be recommended (deep cleaning).
same-day porcelain onlays/inlays
Learn more
If there is a cavity or fracture too big for a filling, an onlay or inlay may be recommended. They are all tooth colored porcelain and allow us to preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible. An inlay fits within the grooves of your teeth between its cusps, while an onlay generally replaces the cusps, or highest points, of your teeth as well. Both of these restorations fit snugly within your tooth, where they are bonded in place. Because we use tooth-colored materials, your inlays and onlays look seamless within your smile. Utilizing the state of the art technology, we can now scan, mill, and deliver in one single visit for most cases.
root canal therapy
Learn more
Root canals are indicated when the nerve inside the tooth is infected. The procedure involves cleaning the infected nerve and sealing it afterwards.
Dental implants
Learn more
Implants offer a permanent and conservative solution to replacing missing teeth. It is an artificial tooth root that is placed into your bone with a replacement crown (cap) connected to it. They are advantageous to bridges as the neighboring teeth do not need to be worked on and are much more comfortable than dentures. Implants aesthetically appear and function like natural teeth.
Emergency dentistry
Learn more
A dental emergency is any incident involving your mouth that requires immediate medical attention. This can include broken teeth, severe pain, bleeding, loose teeth, infections that cause swelling and pain, and abscesses that can be life-compromising. If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, don’t hesitate to call our office.
tooth-colored fillings
Learn more
We utilize composite fillings (tooth-colored fillings) which replace areas damaged by cavities or fractures. These fillings chemically bond to the tooth, allowing for a strong and long lasting solution. Traditionally, many dental fillings were made from silver amalgam, a type of metal. Today these composite tooth-colored fillings are more common because of their exceptional durability and customizable colors that blend seamlessly with your natural teeth. Also, to ensure safety when replacing amalgams (silver fillings) and placing composite fillings, we utilize the rubber dam. This protects the oral cavity so no amalgam is swallowed and nothing is contaminated. This allows us to get the strongest possible bond and filling for longterm results and esthetics.
same day crowns
Learn more
At our office, crowns (caps) are generally only recommended to replace failing crowns. For teeth without an existing crown, there are much more conservative treatment options that preserve as much natural tooth structure as possible. We will match your crown to the color of your adjacent natural teeth, so they are indistinguishable in your smile. Utilizing the state of the art technology we can now scan, mill, and deliver your porcelain ceramic crown in one single visit for most cases.
tooth extractions
Learn more
While we always want to save a tooth if we can, sometimes extractions are indicated. It is a surgical procedure that removes the entire tooth from the gum socket.
porcelain bridges
Learn more
Porcelain bridges comprise two or more crowns fused together as single-piece prostheses. They replace missing teeth and restore a patient’s chewing and oral functions. Traditional bridges “float” where missing teeth once were, supported on either side by your remaining natural teeth that have been fitted with specialized crowns. We can also create implant-supported bridges that affix to dental implants. Implant support removes strain on natural teeth and provides unmatched stability and function.
occlusal splints/ nightguards
Learn more
If you often wake up with jaw pain, earaches, or headaches, or if you find yourself clenching or grinding your teeth, you may have a common condition called “bruxism.” Many people do not even know that they grind their teeth, as it often occurs when one is sleeping. If not corrected, bruxism can lead to broken teeth, cracked teeth, or even tooth loss. Nightguards are an easy, non-invasive treatment for bruxism. Nightguards are custom-made and fit over your teeth in the top arch and prevent contact with the opposing teeth. However, grinding is often a sign of an underlying issue with the airway and breathing or a symptom of a medication. The longterm goal is to eliminate grinding and clenching completely, so with a comprehensive evaluation we can determine the source of dysfunction and work on eliminating the need for a night guard.
Cosmetic dentistry
porcelain veneers
Learn more
Porcelain veneers are thin ceramics that are adhesively bonded to the front surface of your teeth. They repair worn or chipped teeth, gaps, and small teeth. They aesthetically enhance the shape, size, and color and are customized for your individual smile.
Invisalign
Learn more
Invisalign aligner therapy is similar to braces in that they correct alignment and the bite of your teeth. They are fully removable and allow for optimal hygiene compared to braces while being virtually invisible. They are recommended for anyone with bite problems, crowding, spacing, or cosmetic concerns. Invisalign is a conservative treatment with the goal of achieving a functional and esthetic smile. Treatment can be completed in as little as 6 months and the overall time depends on each person’s situation.
Smile makeover
Learn more
A smile makeover describes the combination of more than one dental procedure into a comprehensive plan that improves the look of your smile. We can create a smile makeover plan that addresses your unique needs while taking into account your budget, schedule, and personal goals. Your smile makeover may include porcelain veneer application, teeth whitening, all-porcelain crowns, laser gum reshaping, implants or any other treatments that help you achieve the look you want and increase your confidence in your daily life.
cosmetic bonding
Learn more
Bonding is a conservative way to repair slightly chipped, discolored, or crooked teeth. During dental bonding, a white filling is placed onto your tooth to improve its appearance. The filing “bonds” with your tooth, and because it comes in a variety of tooth-colored shades, it closely matches the appearance of your natural teeth. Bonding is less expensive than other cosmetic treatments and can usually be completed in one visit.
bleaching
Learn more
○ Professional in-office whitening: For patients wanting immediate results, in-office bleaching is a one to two hour appointment where a high concentration bleaching agent is placed on the teeth with a protective gel for the gums.
○ Take-home bleaching trays: For patients wanting to bleach on their own or maintain their current shade, at-home whitening trays and gels are recommended.
Have any other dental concerns? During your visit, tell us about it, and we’ll recommend a treatment plan, which may require a referral to a trusted specialist.
